Eat Square entered 2 pies in this years Taste of the West Awards. Although there was no gluten free category we entered our gluten free Chicken and Leek pie as well as our Vegan Roast Vegetable Pie. Both pies won Silver Award.

Roast Vegetable Pie... Vegan, Dairy Free and Gluten Free "Taste of the West Silver Award Winner"
This pie is packed full of flavour. We take a mixture of local vegetables and roast them with herbs, garlic, onion and a little olive oil. Once cooled we add a creamy tomato passata and season to perfection. This flavoursome filling then goes inside our special gluten and dairy free pastry. Baked to perfection to create the best possible vegan pie. Here at Eat Square we are very proud of this pie. It manages to be a tasty rich and moist pie with a great pastry crust whilst being gluten free, dairy free and fully vegan. We are not the only ones who love this pie: Peter Ebdon (avid vegan and sports personality) loves this pie too and endorses it. and now (2016) we have won Taste of the West Silver Award for this pie!

Free Range Chicken and Leek Pie... Dairy Free and Gluten Free "Taste of the West Silver Award Winner"
Free range chicken breast from Church Farm, diced and cooked slowly in a white wine sauce. We add leeks and a little wholegrain mustard to this mix to enhance the flavour and create a rich creamy filling. Wrapped in our gluten free pastry and baked this pie is best served hot but can be enjoyed cold on a picnic with some salad or alone.

Indian Spice Pie... Vegan and Gluten Free
Our latest vegan pie is packed with chickpeas, butter beans and spinach. This has an Indian spice mixed in with soy cream to create a creamy and tasty filling. Dairy and gluten free this is a great picnic pie and a great addition for our summer range.
Church Farm's own beef ground and mixed with spices and stock to make a rich full flavour gravy. This is our version of a chip-shop pie, only with free range quality Wiltshire beef and our own shortcrust pastry. Fantastic hot with chips or potatoes and gravy or curry sauce for the more adventurous.
Homity Pie - The Cheese and Potato Classic - Gluten Free
This classic British pie has a few forms. The Eat Square version is vegetarian and also comes in gluten free pastry. We use boiled potato pieces as well as a creamy mash potato and add to this a full flavour cheddar cheese and some cooked onions. Seasoned and with a little parsley this is a great summer pie and ideal with a salad. Hot is best as the cheese melts but you can enjoy this pie cold at a picnic too!
